Position Summary

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a compassionate and skilled School Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This role is vital in supporting the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of students in a school setting. The School RN applies the nursing process to deliver high-quality care, respond to medical emergencies, manage chronic conditions, and promote overall health and safety.

As a key liaison between families, school staff, and healthcare providers, the School RN ensures that services are delivered in accordance with Amergis’ philosophy, standards, policies, and physician orders.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Provide direct nursing care to students

+ Respond to medical emergencies and manage chronic health conditions

+ Promote health education and wellness initiatives

+ Collaborate with families, educators, and healthcare professionals

+ Maintain accurate health records and documentation

Minimum Requirements:

+ Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment

+ Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)

+ School Nurse Certification (as required by state or contract)

+ One year of experience in school nursing, public health, or pediatrics (preferred)

+ Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice

+ Current CPR certification (if applicable)

+ TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray (if applicable)

+ Current health certificate (per contract/state regulation)

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age
