    General Description

    The Trial Court Administrator (TCA) serves as the chief administrative officer of the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit, providing executive leadership for court operations across Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee, and St. Lucie Counties. Reporting directly to the Chief Judge, the TCA is responsible for managing a broad range of administrative and operational functions including, but not limited to, strategic planning and policy development; budget preparation and fiscal management; human resources and workforce oversight; technology systems and court facilities management; program and service delivery across the circuit; external relations with state and local government, the Bar, and judicial partners. This role requires proven executive level leadership, strong financial and organizational management skills, excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities, strategic vision and problem-solving capacity, a demonstrated commitment to professionalism and integrity, and the ability to work collaboratively with judges, staff, and external stakeholders to support the fair and timely administration of justice.

    Education, Experience, Certifications and Special Requirements

    Education – Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, or judicial administration, legal studies, or a closely related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.Additional relevant experience may substitute for the recommended education on a year-for-year basis.

     

    Experience – Eight years of related professional work experience, including at least five years in an executive leadership role. Extensive knowledge of the Florida State Court System is preferred.Additional relevant education may substitute for the recommended experience on a year-for-year basis, excluding executive-level leadership experience.

     

    Certification and Special Requirements – Valid Florida State Driver’s License required.
