    Ensures accurate and timely shipments of all customer and agent orders.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

    + Verify and pack all outbound LTL and truck load shipments for correct quantities and items

    + Ensure the optimum loading of all outbound trailers for accuracy, integrity, load sequence, and maximized "cube" shipments

    + Verify for proper loading to ensure safe transit of material to customers

    + Verify on hand inventory by performing daily cycle counts

    + Help control flow of people, equipment, and product on dock as it pertains to completion of orders, receipt of incoming, and transfers within inter-plant

    + Must be able to operate digital scales

    + Occasional driving of powered industrial equipment

    + Other duties as assigned

    EDUCATION :

    High School Diploma or GED required

    MANAGEMENT :

    None

    EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

    + 1+ year(s) of related experience

    + SAP Experience a plus

    + Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

    + Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

    + Ability to compute rate, ration, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs

    + Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

    + Attention to detail including counts, weights, and shipment information

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
