Waste Connections of Rhode Island** has an immediate opening for a **Scale Attendant** to join the team at our transfer station in **North Smithfield, RI.

**Pay Rate:** $20.00 per hour.

**Schedule –** Monday through Friday 5:45 AM- 3:30 PM / Every other Saturday 6:45 AM to 12:00.

As a** **scale attendant** **with us the minimum responsibilities are:

+ Greet and direct all customers and employees upon entry of the transfer station.

+ Track weight information from scale to computer system and get appropriate signatures.

+ Calculate payments for customers.

+ Closing duties include balancing cash drawer, as well as reconciling the credit card machine orPOS system.

+ Ensure incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material.

+ Approach all encounters with employees, customers, and vendors in a friendly, service-oriented manner.

What we need from you:

+ Excellent customer service skills.

+ Ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Word &Excel.

+ Must have flexible availability to include weekends.
