• **Location:** Rapid City, South Dakota

• **Pay Range:** $27 - $34 per hour

• **Schedule:** Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM

What You’ll Do as a Lead Mechanic:

+ Lead and coordinate daily shop operations and mechanic team activities

+ Perform and oversee repairs, inspections, and diagnostics on diesel vehicles, including electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems

+ Utilize vehicle computer systems to interpret failure modes and adjust engine and vehicle control modules

+ Assign and review repairs identified on driver Vehicle Inspection Reports

+ Respond to road calls and support emergency repairs

+ Ensure accurate documentation using fleet maintenance software

+ Conduct test drives to verify service and repair quality

+ Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area in compliance with OSHA and company standards

+ Mentor and train junior mechanics, fostering a culture of safety and excellence

What We’re Looking For:

•️ Proven experience in diesel vehicle diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and repair

•️ Leadership experience or strong aptitude for team coordination

•️ Basic tool set (Tool Allowance Provided!)

•️ Hydraulic experience is a plus

•️ Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and professionalism
