WIN Waste Innovations is looking for a Director of Total Rewards in our corporate office in Portsmouth, NH. The Director of Total Rewards will lead and drive the strategy, development, implementation and communication of WINs compensation, benefits, payroll and HRIS functions, ensuring our programs reinforce the company culture and performance. The Director of Total Rewards will have a proven track record of success creating and implementing a total rewards strategy which drives employee engagement while attracting, retaining and motivating top talent. Working closely with the CHRO and the executive team, the Director will lead 6 ONE TEAM members across the compensation, benefits, payroll and HRIS functions.
This role is for an innovative, collaborative and communicative leader who is strategic but also hands-on. This leader should be passionate about our business and our people, and be able to leverage their compensation and benefits expertise, combined with strong people leadership, to help drive the organization and continue to enhance its culture. Responsibilities:
+ Administer and lead a comprehensive total rewards strategy that aligns employee rewards with WINs core values allowing the organization to retain and attract the very best talent.
+ Work closely with the CHRO on compensation program analysis and design. Oversees the design and development of our compensation strategy and programs, ensuring competitive pay by participating in annual salary surveys, staying on top of market trends, researching, and evaluating market pricing and making recommendations for salary structure.
+ Oversee the design, implementation, communication, and administration of WINs benefits programs.
+ Ensure effective and efficient management of benefit programs and partners (negotiate favorable renewals, manage open enrollment processes, robust employee communication plans, wellness and health education initiatives, etc.).
+ Ensure management and execution of the 401k plan, including all compliance and fiduciary activities.
+ Collaborate with external benefits and compensation advisors to stay abreast of emerging trends and proactively put forward recommendations that enable WIN to be competitive and resourceful in our total rewards investments.
+ Oversee the Company's HRIS function and platform, including all applicable compensation and benefit programs. Strong orientation towards ongoing management of pay and benefit plans through manager- and employee self-service modules.
+ Assist HR Operations team with testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flow for process improvement opportunities.
+ Leads the payroll function throughout the organization. Implements payroll strategy, processes and compliance standards/requirements.
+ Drive controls and operational excellence including, but not limited to, SOX oversight and controls and compliance programs.
+ Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal and regulatory requirements, maintaining a proactive approach with new and anticipated changes to legislation and regulation, which may impact organizational processes and objectives.
+ Maintain a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers and management.
Qualifications/Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
+ 10 + years of experience in the development, implementation and execution of Compensation, Benefits, and HRIS strategies, including 5 years' experience leading a team.
+ Advanced knowledge of state and federal laws and reporting including ERISA, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and labor law.
+ Deep expertise in compensation issues including base pay, short- and long-term equity incentive programs, all aspects of executive compensation, sales compensation.
+ Expert knowledge in executive benefits, 401K plans and health and welfare benefits expertise.
+ Demonstrated expertise in HRIS planning and implementation.
+ Experiencing managing a payroll function.
+ Creative, progressive thought leadership with the ability to influence at all levels in an organization.
+ Flexibility to be proactive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
+ Proven organizational skills and ability to prioritize competing demands.
+ Excellent verbal and communication/customer service skills.
