Job Description Summary
Come join the Supply Chain FLIGHT DECK team that is responsible driving organizational transformation to improve outcomes for our employees, customers, and shareholders. Org scope spans across processes, standards, operations, cadences, project management, learning & development and digital capability for the Operations teams across the T&O organization.
This is an individual contributor role with indirect leadership & influencing of teams. Role will be supporting two large organizations ... Engineering Material Systems (EMS) and Indirect Procurement, both within the Procurement & Supplier Management (PSM) part of the Supply Chain. You will have dotted line alignment to two senior leaders of the above organizations and be closely aligned with their teams. You will be responsible for leading & coaching them on FLIGHT DECK activation, implementation of Value Stream Management & Daily Management Systems, building & delivering against a Transformation Roadmap, development & execution to metrics (PPIs, KPIs, & TTIs) that drive business outcomes, and improving digital capability aligned to processes in partnership with DT.
Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
+ **FLIGHT DECK** ... provides coaching on problem solving methods, leadership of FLIGHT DECK fundamentals and establishment/promotion of lean culture. Ensures processes are formalized and documented through standard operating procedures, work instructions, and standard work templates as required.
+ **Value Stream Management** ... ownership of current state VSM, annual updates to future state VSM via leadership of VSA events, and connections to enterprise VSMs up & downstream.
+ **Transformation Roadmap** ... responsible for the owning/executing events outlined on the roadmap, ongoing maintenance of roadmap items, org communication & stakeholder engagement for events, gaining support & sponsorship for events, prioritizing events to maximize impact, and quantifying impact of items back to business outcomes.
+ **Metrics** ... responsible for defining metrics related to VSM, inclusive of developing new measures, maturing existing measures, and driving results/target setting for all TTIs and/or KPIs.
+ **Daily Management & Operating Cadences** ... responsible for establishing, scaling, and maturing the operating cadences & daily management required for VSM success.
+ **Process** ... responsible to support any processes related to the organizations. Could include new process development, maturation and support for mature processes that have been handed back to the business.
+ Leads projects with varied levels resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Presents business solutions to leaders in functional area. Leads team to find creative solutions to address complex problems that impact the organization. Has ability to evaluate quality of information received and questions conflicting data for analysis.
+ Utilizes expertise and judgement to solve problems, leveraging skills and analytic thinking as required. Uses multiple internal and external resources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
+ Communicates complex messages and negotiates mainly internally with others to adopt a different point of view and gain buy-in across the organization. Influences peers for support and may negotiate with external partners, vendors, or customers as required.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university + Minimum of 5 years of Supply Chain / manufacturing / business operations / lean experience
