Continuous Improvement/ Value Stream Engineer

Manchester, Iowa

Wage Range: **$78,000 – $82,000 per year**

Direct Hire / Full Time

We are seeking a motivated Continuous Improvement/ Value Stream Engineer to drive efficiency, quality, and cost savings through Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. In this role, you’ll lead plant-wide initiatives to improve OEE, product quality, waste reduction, energy conservation, safety, and operating costs. This position is key in fostering a culture of continuous improvement by mentoring teams and implementing impactful strategies.

Responsibilities:

+ Lead and manage complex projects, including scope, objectives, and deliverables.

+ Identify opportunities to maximize efficiency using Lean concepts.

+ Develop and execute continuous improvement strategies with measurable goals.

+ Train and mentor team members on continuous improvement methods.

+ Coordinate initiatives with plant leadership to optimize resources and reduce redundancies.

+ Conduct time and motion studies and validate production standards.

+ Utilize value stream mapping and process charting to streamline workflows.

+ Partner with training teams to develop standardized work instructions.

+ Foster and support cross-functional improvement teams.

+ Participate in training, safety, and assigned projects as directed.

Qualifications:

+ 3+ years of experience in a Continuous Improvement role.

+ Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements across teams.

+ Strong communication and presentation skills.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project).

Preferred:

+ Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).

+ Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean certification.

+ Project management and industrial manufacturing experience.
