    _The Financial Technical Coordinator manages the roadmap for the division’s technical resources. They will function as a leader in the division and will manage efforts that have department-wide, and statewide impact. Duties include researching, analyzing, and diagnosing customer needs; advising/consulting management on how to implement and integrate new technologies; leading individuals and teams of business and technical staff; setting priorities; and monitoring progress._

     

    _The Financial Technical Coordinator supports the technological needs of the Financial Operations Division (FOD) by maintaining and enhancing financial systems, data integrations, reporting tools, and internal IT processes. The Technical Coordinator serves as a liaison between Financial Operations and technical staff. They ensure FOD’s technical solutions address the needs of the division, the agency, and the people we serve_

    Responsibilities include:

    + Serve as the division-wide point person, primary analyst, and key day-to-day decision maker for FOD application work request submission, review, and prioritization efforts. Serve as certain financial applications’ Security Administrator to ensure appropriate access is granted and maintained.

    + Technical Support for Reporting & Visualization: Analyze, design, develop, and implement SWIFT Warehouse-based reports for use by DCYF functional staff, accountants, budget managers, and senior management

    + Lead project teams by fostering an innovative work environment that encourages cross-functional teamwork, and continuous learning.

    Minimum Qualifications

    _**To facilitate proper crediting, please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed and indicates the beginning and ending month, day and year for each job held.**_

     

    Four (4) years of professional level accounting, financial reporting, financial management, budgeting, and/or financial analysis experience. Experience must demonstrate the following:

     

    + Experience working with substantial budgets and advising management on budget processes.

    + Demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret, reconcile, and audit complex financial data.

    + Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and apply financial statutes, laws, regulations, and policies.

    + Ability to lead large-scale projects, diagnose problems, and recommend solutions for process improvement initiatives.

    + Excellent interpersonal, written communication, and verbal communication skills necessary to lead and collaborate on enterprise projects; train and present to a variety of stakeholders; present complex financial information to users in a comprehensive style; and influence others to resolve conflicting viewpoints.

    + Expert proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Cisco WebEx, and/or equivalent software packages.

    + Experience with financial reporting processes.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

    + Experience working with State of Minnesota government financial systems, such as SWIFT

    + Expert proficiency in using Access, PowerPoint, QuickBooks, and/or equivalent software packages.

    + Advanced experience with SWIFT, general ledger, billing, accounts receivable, fixed assets, decision support, and Microsoft Excel.

    + Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.
