    Are you ready to join Micron's Global Procurement team and take on a high-impact role as a Category Supplier Manager for Facilities Capital and Construction? Based in Boise, ID, this position places you at the heart of strategic procurement, supporting Micron’s ambitious growth and sustainability goals. You’ll play a key role in driving supply chain resiliency, cost management, and operational excellence in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

     

    In this role you will negotiate with suppliers to meet business needs and site audits, lead contract negotiations, extensions, renewals, and provide market intelligence and apply should-cost models. You will support capital budgeting, cash flow management, and execution of global procurement strategies. This role will also implement cost savings and process improvement initiatives and develop and implement sourcing strategies for construction and invention (RFQs/RFPs, negotiations, bid awards using Decision Analysis).

    Responsibilities:

    + **Supplier & Site Management -** Lead site supplier performance, relationship management, and own procurement processes for designated areas and accounts.

    + **Category Management & Strategic Sourcing -** Recommend resource levels across sourcing categories and projects, monitor supplier performance and analyze sourcing trends, and participate in supplier segmentation and strategic goal setting.

    + **Cost Analysis -** Identify and evaluate categories-specific savings and revenue opportunities and drive savings and scorecard metric targets.

    + **Cost Management -** Support cost validation, bid leveling, contract administration, and change order management.

    + **Business Partnering & Cross-Functional Collaboration -** Collaborate across functions to solve issues and represent Procurement while maintaining expertise in assigned spend categories.

    + **Reporting & Change Management -** Conduct contractor prequalification and market trend analysis, and coordinate purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.

    + 8+ years of experience in construction procurement, estimating, quantity surveying, preconstruction services, budgeting, or cost control.

    + Strong written, verbal, and presentation interpersonal skills.

    + Demonstrated experience in strategic sourcing and category management.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Master’s degree in a relevant field.

    + Experience in the semiconductor or high-tech industry.

    + Proficiency in cost modeling, contract negotiation, and supplier performance management.

    + Strong emotional intelligence, cultural awareness, and customer-centric approach.
