The Opportunity:
CACI is looking for a Data Manager SME to join our team! In this role, you will provide technical leadership in the areas of data management to an Information Technology (IT) Systems Engineering team supporting the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Enterprise Information Technology as a Service (EITaaS).
This position will be located at Tinker Air Force Base.
Responsibilities:
The Data Manager SME will be responsible with providing expertise for the lifecycle management of data to include the migration and custodial management of data from legacy data platforms to the new User Experience (UX) Data Integration Platform. As the Data Manager SME, you will work with the team to build an integration hub to ingest data from multiple Enterprise IT technology solutions with the goal of building enterprise visibility.
Responsibilities include:
+ Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of data pipelines, storage, infrastructure, and data flow, transformation, and scalability
+ Supports development and maintenance of data pipelines, data storage, and other infrastructure required for safe storage and transport of data
+ Identifies, documents and manages the user experience monitoring data model and implements lifecycle governance
+ Optimizes performance and scalability of big data (structured and unstructured) and real-time data infrastructure
+ Supports data solutions using cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and big data frameworks (e.g., Spark, Hadoop)
+ Supports API connection requirements gathering, definition and implementation including providing support for ICD and MOA documentation associated with APIs
+ Documents details of the data pipelines, data flows and operational mechanics of the data lifecycle
+ Coordinates with system administrators to configure and troubleshoot data feeds
+ Monitors and maintains the integration hub and data feed connections
+ Identifies and implements a robust data labeling and tagging strategy for all data types
+ Assesses emerging policies, technology, and best practices for applicability to data
+ May attend and participate in meetings to discuss new technologies, technology insertion projects, and modernization roadmaps
+ Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high-impact assignments
Qualifications:
_Required:_
+ Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance
+ 10+ Years of relevant experience (Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field may be substituted for 5 years of experience).
+ ITIL V4 familiarization and understanding
+ Exhibits expertise in implementing and maintaining data solutions using advanced frameworks and orchestration tools, while adhering to security and compliance standards
+ Comprehensive knowledge of data engineering principles, with emphasis on big data pipelines, storage infrastructure, and real-time data processing in military or Government environments
+ Proficiency in cloud platforms, programming languages, DevSecOps practices, and containerization tools, ensuring optimal performance and scalability of complex data systems
+ Expertise and real-world experience in one or more of the tools being considered for this effort including Palantir, Netscout, Solarwinds, Aternity, PowerBI and KibanaExcels at collaborating with various stakeholders
+ Combines technical acumen with leadership skills to drive data solutions, optimize processes, and elevate team capabilities in a high-tempo operational environment
+ Displays proficiency in staffing and program compliance processes, with emphasis on government contracting environments
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala, and SQL
+ Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge regarding data orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Databricks) and DevSecOps for data, including CI/CD pipelines and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

+ CASP+ or CCNP Security or CISA or CISSP or CISSP-ISSAP or CISSP-ISSEP certification desired

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$67,800 - $142,200
