Hours | Schedule:
+ Primary 11:30am to 8pm shift with flexible shifts as needed
+ Rotating holidays
+ Minimum 80 hours per pay period
+ Every other weekend
Position Purpose:
Supervises assembly, preparation and service provided by Food Services Attendant to patients, employees, and visitors. Responsible for both process improvement and quality control. Communicates daily with coworkers and other team members to ensure that food is served in a safe and attractive manner that results in high customer satisfaction as it pertains to taste, temperature and presentation.
What the Practice Leader Neuroscience will do:
+ Supervises and maintains department according to departmental and hospital policies and bargaining unit agreement.
+ Evaluates, counsels and disciplines employees in accordance with hospital policies and bargaining unit agreement.
+ Responsible for employee training and development, oversees and/or provides proper training to establish competency of employees.
+ Performs opening and closing responsibilities of department.
+ Responsible for the coordination of patient meal service including diet office, tray assembly, tray delivery and dish room functions.
+ Oversees floor stock processes and activities
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Associate’s Degree in Nutrition, Hotel, Restaurant, Institution Management, Business or related field or equivalent combination of education/training/experience.
+ ServeSafe Certifications within 6 months of hire date.
+ Three years of food service experience
+ Knowledge of normal and therapeutic nutrition. Understand HACCP regulations. Familiarity with most recent USDA Food Code guidelines. Ability to work with people from a variety of backgrounds with different skill levels.
+ Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, patients, and customers.
+ Maintain Safe working environment and maintain associate safety related to exposure and OSHA guidelines.
