RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Under general direction, performs routine preventative maintenance and repair activities consistent with policies and procedures on wind turbines.

+ Completes quality checks on turbine maintenance and repairs performed by service provider.

+ Maintains roadways, collector lines, buildings, fences, and other balance of plant assets on site.

+ Operate heavy equipment to clear snow from roadways

+ Performs high and medium voltage switching to isolate turbines and electric feeder circuits

+ Attends regular safety meetings and follows appropriate company safety and environmental policies.

+ Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and adheres to quality guidelines.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

+ High School diploma or equivalent required

+ Preference may be given to applicants that have completed a wind technician training program.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

+ Four years or more technical wind industry experience, OR in absence of technical wind industry experience, six years or more experience working with hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

+ Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

+ This role requires working outside in all types of weather conditions at heights of 300 feet.

+ Must have knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and tools.

+ Must be able to lift or move up to 100 pounds.

+ Computer program skills (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SCADA systems) required .

+ First aid, CPR, AED, forklift certification, and OSHA 10 certification preferred.

+ Heavy equipment operations (i.e. Loader, Grader, Tractor, Manlift) experience is desirable.

+ This position may be subject to assessment of skills, job match and/or aptitude.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

+ The expected hourly compensation range for this position is $26.90 - $33.20. Compensation offered to the selected candidate will vary depending on relevant knowledge, skills, training, experience, and market conditions.
