At Acelero Learning Delaware, we’re transforming early childhood education—and nutrition is a key part of helping children thrive. We’re looking for a dedicated Food Service Floater to support our centers by preparing and serving healthy meals and snacks, ensuring food safety, and assisting wherever needed in the kitchen and meal service.
What You’ll Do
As a Food Service Worker, you will:
+ Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks that meet USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) guidelines.
+ Support food service operations wherever needed across the center, including meal prep, serving, and cleanup.
+ Maintain safe food handling, storage, and sanitation practices in compliance with state and federal regulations.
+ Assist with inventory management and stocking of kitchen supplies.
+ Help create a positive mealtime environment that encourages children to enjoy healthy foods.
+ Collaborate with center staff to ensure timely and smooth meal service.
Who You Are
We’re looking for someone who is:
+ Passionate about children’s health and nutrition.
+ Flexible and dependable, able to step in where needed to support kitchen operations.
+ Organized and attentive to detail, especially with food safety and sanitation.
+ A collaborative team player with a caring attitude.
+ Bilingual (Spanish-English) is a plus!
Minimum Qualifications
+ Previous food service or kitchen experience preferred.
+ Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices.
+ Pass a physical exam and background check.
+ Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation required.
+ Experience in family advocacy, case management, or community outreach preferred.

This position earns up to 16.50 Hourly
