    Your Impact:

    As a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped, you will:

    + Assess and understand each student’s needs to maximize their speech-language proficiency and communication effectiveness.

    + Conduct individual and group sessions, support with push-in services as appropriate, and collaborate regularly with classroom teachers.

    + Develop and implement instructional strategies, materials, and environments that enhance students' speech and language functioning.

    + Regularly evaluate short-term objectives to track progress.

    + Share your expertise by training special education personnel and parents in augmentative and alternative communication systems.

    What You Bring:

    + Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.

    + Valid teaching credential for Speech and Hearing Handicapped or Speech and Language Disabilities.
