Link Solutions is seeking a Windows System Administrator to join our team in Springfield, OH.
+ Must be a U.S. Citizen
+ Must possess a DoD Top Secret Clearance
+ Non-remote (relocation incentive available)
The Windows Systems Administrator will oversee and optimize the performance and functionality of a suite of computers in support of the Air National Guard’s Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Operations Center. This role encompasses the diligent upkeep, fortified security, and robust performance of critical systems, including SharePoint, MS SQL databases, and Web servers running on Windows within our client’s composite physical and virtualized (VMware) infrastructure.
As the Windows Systems Administrator, you will engage with state-of-the-art technology and communication systems, contributing significantly to the fulfillment of our client’s objectives. Your role is pivotal in safeguarding our national security as you collaborate on groundbreaking projects, with ample opportunities for professional development and progression within a leading-edge organization.
Job Responsibilities:
+ Provide tier 1 and 2 support to a global information system.
+ Configure, manage, and maintain servers within a VMware virtualized environment.
+ Maintain/apply STIGs and patches/firmware updates.
+ Maintain email and database server.
+ Software baseline upgrade support.
+ Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems.
+ Sets up administrator and service accounts.
+ Maintain system documentation.
+ Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
+ Makes recommendations to purchase hardware/software, coordinates installation, and provides backup recovery.
+ Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
+ Develop and implement testing strategies and document results.
+ Provides advice and training to end-users.
+ Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff members.

+ U.S. Citizen
+ Active DoD Top Secret Clearance.
+ IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, etc.).
+ Two (2+) years or more of directly related help desk/service desk experience.
+ Computing Environment certification in Windows Server, ACAS, HBSS, or similar technology within 6 months of hire.
+ Ability to obtain a CCNA or CompTIA Server+ within 120 days
Preferred:
+ Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
+ Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) servers experience.
+ Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) server security center, and scanners experience.
+ PowerShell scripting experience.
+ Knowledge of Microsoft Server 2012r2 and 2016 servers.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
+ Experience creating and modifying documentation for technical processes and procedures.
+ Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
+ A problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems.
+ Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
+ Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
+ Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
