    Production Planner

    **Location:** Lewisville, TX

    **Schedule:** Full-Time | 40 hours per week – Temp to Hire

    **Pay** : Starting at $23.00/hr

    About the Role

    Adecco is partnering with a leading industrial distribution and manufacturing organization to hire a Production Planner in Lewisville, TX. This position plays a vital role in coordinating daily production activities to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and skilled at balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Schedule daily and weekly production based on customer requirements and delivery timelines.

    • Verify component availability before issuing production orders.

    • Create and manage production orders in alignment with sales and production needs.

    • Coordinate with internal sales teams to confirm completion and delivery dates.

    • Manage inventory levels and monitor shortages using MRP systems.

    • Expedite and maintain purchase orders, acknowledgments, and vendor communications.

    • Engage with suppliers to resolve cost issues, delays, and non-conforming materials.

    • Lead weekly production meetings to review scheduling, availability, and potential delays.

    • Assign fabrication and quality control personnel as needed.

    • Release production packets and drawings to the shop floor; upload finalized documents to the shared drive.

    • Generate purchase orders for required materials and supplies.

    • Identify and secure alternate vendors or components during shortages or long lead times.

    • Maintain detailed production schedules, tracking task start and completion dates.

    • Create delivery and pick tickets and coordinate with warehouse personnel as necessary.

    • Assist with receiving, staging, shipping, and inventory counts.

    • Review drawings, BOMs, and redlines for consistency with ERP and production orders.

    • Manage customer-owned inventory as needed and support other Branches as required.

    • Provide regular updates on project status, timing, and potential issues.

    • Collaborate across departments to address production priorities and minimize customer impact.

    • Assist with labor forecasting and contribute to department and company goals.

    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Prior experience in production planning, purchasing, or supply chain operations required.

    • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems strongly preferred.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) required.

    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, BOMs, and parts lists.

    • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.

    • Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.

    • Mechanical aptitude is a plus.

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

    • Comfortable sitting, standing, and moving throughout office and production areas.

    • Ability to climb stairs or ladders multiple times daily.

    • Must wear appropriate PPE (safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, hearing protection) when on the production floor.

    **Pay Details:** $23.00 to $27.00 per hour
