Network & Connectivity Technologist

Dell’s CTO team hires some of the brightest and most talented engineers and technologists in the industry. We are seeking a visionary and hands-on **Technologist** with deep technical expertise, strategic vision and the unwavering drive to deliver ground-breaking products. The technologist will define the strategy, influence the industry ecosystem to support the strategy and lead R&D investigations that deliver industry leading experiences in Dell’s client products.

What you will achieve

As the **Network & Connectivity Technologist,** you’ll be responsible for defining and driving the execution for Dell’s connectivity strategy for all products. Your strategy will be driven by customer needs, competitive insights and technical innovations that enable Dell leadership across the entire PC product portfolio. You will work with CTO peers, architects, business strategists, and marketing shaping the future of power architecture **in the modern AI PC era.**

You will:

+ Define and lead the network and connectivity strategy, encompassing hardware, software, and mechanical architecture to deliver industry-leading product experiences

+ Drive innovation through R&D and AI/ML technologies, advancing Dell’s strategic goals in connectivity and network performance

+ Establish and influence industry standards, ensuring alignment with the company’s long-term connectivity vision

+ Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, engineering, and external partners to develop and deliver cutting-edge user experiences

+ Provide technical leadership and mentorship, contributing through innovation, IP generation, and guiding peers in alignment with Dell’s business objectives

Essential Requirements:

+ Minimum of 15 years of experience in network technologies and connectivity technologies such as USB and TBT in PC products

+ Demonstrated track record of impactful innovation and industry thought leadership

+ Proven ability to influence internal stakeholders and technology partners to drive strategic outcomes

+ Strong understanding of network architecture for workstations and AI PC’s design including hardware and software

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative mindset

Desirable Requirements:

+ Typically requires 15+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree; or 12+ years and a Master’s degree (EE or ME); or 8+ years and a PhD; or equivalent experience

Compensation

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $229,500 - $297,000.
