Description

We are looking for a skilled Inventory Clerk to join our team in Champaign, Illinois. This is a long-term contract position that offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing inventory processes and ensuring accurate tracking and documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Process incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and timely handling.

• Perform barcode scanning and data entry to maintain inventory records.

• Confirm orders, label shipments, and conduct audits to guarantee inventory accuracy.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to track inventory and apply formulas for efficient analysis.

• Maintain a high level of attention to detail to avoid discrepancies in inventory.

• Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate inventory activities.

• Adhere to warehouse safety protocols, including wearing steel-toed boots.

• Work comfortably in a warehouse environment, including during high temperatures.

• Assist with physical inventory counts and annual inventory processes.

• Support shipping and receiving operations to optimize workflow.

The salary range for this position is $20 to $22/hr. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance. Requirements • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in inventory management; warehouse experience is a plus.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

• Comfortable working in high-temperature conditions with fans as the primary cooling.

• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members.

• Steel-toed boots required as part of the dress code.

• Familiarity with shipping, receiving, and inventory tracking processes.
