Description

We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in Apopka, Florida. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of an automotive-focused business. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting expertise, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.

• Create journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and support monthly closing processes.

• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.

• Respond to information requests, review financial statements, and contribute to audit processes.

• Handle cash deposits for vehicle transactions and sales department operations.

• Generate cash reports to support financial oversight.

• Meet established deadlines for financial processing and reporting.

• Participate in special projects as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of related accounting experience.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain organizational focus.

• Motivated and hardworking, with a commitment to accuracy and detail.

• Strong experience in Excel and accounting software.
