We’re seeking an experienced Controller to oversee financial operations, drive strategic insights, and help build a scalable accounting infrastructure across a multi-entity organization. As Controller, you’ll be the cornerstone of our financial leadership team. You’ll manage core accounting functions, ensure compliance with GAAP, and provide strategic guidance to support ongoing growth. The company currently includes multiple recently acquired businesses and plans to continue to grow through acquisition.

This role requires familiarity with construction accounting to evaluate and integrate new entities effectively.

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations (GL, AP, AR, Payroll)

• Manage month-end close and financial statement preparation

• Implement and maintain internal controls and compliance protocols

• Collaborate with external auditors and manage annual audits

• Evaluate complex transactions (e.g., purchase accounting) with senior leadership

• Optimize financial systems and processes for scale

• Build and mentor a high-performing accounting team

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (CPA preferred)

• 10+ years of accounting experience, including 3+ years in a Controller or equivalent role

• Deep understanding of GAAP, lease accounting ASC 842, and revenue recognition ASC 606

• Familiarity with Percentage Completion accounting (strongly preferred)

• Experience with financial software and ERP systems (Sage Intacct)

• Strong Excel skills and technical accounting acumen

• Proven leadership and team development capabilities

• Experience modernizing accounting processes for small, privately held companies
