    Required Qualifications:

    Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5 or more years of related professional experience, or equivalent education and experience.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Master’s degree in student affairs, higher education, social work, counseling or related field, plus have a minimum of 2 years of experience in advising or counseling related to enrollment and persistence in higher education.

     

    Experience working with low-income, first generation and/or disabled students, and preference is given to candidates who have overcome barriers comparable to those encountered by SSS participants. Preference is given to those who have worked with diverse students in academic advising as well as career, financial, and personal counseling. S/he must have excellent interpersonal communication skills and must possess analytical and program planning skills. Computer expertise in word processing and database management is a necessity.

    Advertised Salary:

    The target salary range is for this position is $44,592 to $59,085 commensurate with the selected candidate’s education and experience while considering internal equity.
