Your Impact at SAM
As a Senior Survey Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting both office and field teams by processing incoming data and producing high-quality land surveying deliverables. Reporting to the Project Manager, you’ll leverage the latest A/E/C technology to enhance project efficiency, ensure accuracy, and contribute to overall client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
+ Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure project requirements are met in both office and field operations
+ Process field data, perform initial CAD work, and assist in producing survey deliverables such as plats, drawings, legal descriptions, and alignment plans
+ Conduct deed research, plotting, and map checks to support survey documentation
+ Review and evaluate data daily to confirm accuracy, completeness, and compliance with industry standards and regulations
+ Perform QA/QC checks on field data and survey drawings prepared by others, ensuring alignment with company standards and client expectations
+ Monitor field crew productivity, provide technical support, and conduct on-site QC inspections as needed
+ Train and mentor field and office staff on company procedures, best practices, and quality standards
+ Support project scheduling and ensure deliverables are completed on time and within established productivity goals
+ Provide technical office support, including field crew briefings and debriefings
What You Bring to SAM
+ Strong computer and technical skills; Auto CAD, MicroStation, Revit or similar application
+ Proficiency in technical math; Geometry and Trigonometry are a plus
