Position: Operations Specialist

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Start Date: ASAP

Pay Rate: Negotiable $30-33/hr

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM

No overtime or weekend work required

Join a reputable and well-respected financial institution as a Loan & Lease Servicing Specialist. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for operational excellence in financial services. You’ll be responsible for managing the lifecycle of leases and loans—from origination through final payment—with a strong focus on servicing and payment processing.

Key Responsibilities

+ Customer Service (25%)

+ Respond to incoming customer inquiries via phone, email, and mail, ensuring timely and professional resolution.

+ Payment Processing (25%)

+ Post various forms of payments (check, wire, ACH, internal transfer) to the sub-ledger, ensuring accuracy and proper account allocation.

+ Cash Reconciliation (20%)

+ Support the funding department with daily reconciliation of cash disbursements. Investigate discrepancies and validate totals.

+ Billing Support (20%)

+ Assist with the Financial Public Funding billing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

+ Administrative Tasks (10%)

+ Perform general administrative duties to support the servicing team.

Qualifications

+ 1–2 years of experience in loan or lease operations, or a servicing-related role

+ Basic understanding of ACH, wire transfers, and check processing

+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Skills

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

+ Experience with LeasePlus software (a plus, not required)

+ Experience in leasing operations

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr.
