    We currently have an opening for an experienced Senior Finance Manager to join the Consumer Margin and Microsoft AI team. This role owns the margin strategy for Windows 365, which is a strategic growth engine for future of windows and supports resource allocation decision.

     

    In this role you will partner with engineering and business leaders to deeply understand, influence, and manage the gross margin health of the overall Windows Profit and Loss (P&L) as well as model, plan, and implement structural efficiencies, long term bets, and monetization initiatives.

    Responsibilities

    Lead the monetization and pricing conversations for Windows 365 and driving AI value integration through agentic features partnering with business planning, revenue, and engineering to recommend pricing, analyze performance and risks to drive margins.

     

    + Ownership of the entire Windows 365 P&L across long term (LRP) and in year forecasts, investment decision support, and engineering partnership to drive resource optimization and execution across workloads.

    + Lead executive forums to influence key decision areas around margins, cost optimizations and investments to drive margin accretive decisions.

    + Partner with engineering teams and engineering leaders to drive product profitability. Identify and drive partnership with Azure engineering and finance, security for cross-functional cost efficiencies and resource optimization.

    Qualifications

    Required/Minimum Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field

    + OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field

    + OR equivalent experience.

    + 2+ years of experience driving financial modeling to support business partnership or product decisions.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or Finance work experience

    + OR Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience

    + OR equivalent experience

    + Advanced degree or MBA preferred.

    + 5+ years of relevant experience with progressive advancement within your discipline.

    + 3+ years of experience in SaaS oriented technology organization driving financial modeling to support business partnership and product decisions.

    + Analytical skills and strategic thinking.

    + Proven data and financial modeling capabilities and ability to work with financial systems

    + Ability to communicate complex analysis in a simple way. Executive level oral and written communication skills.

    + Proven leadership skills, with demonstrated results in proactively driving and delivering high value/high-impact project results through both individual and v-team efforts.

    + Self-starter driving in-class decision support in ambiguous environments.

    + Partnering capabilities, with the ability to influence others without direct authority and appropriately push back when required.

    + Comfort working at multiple altitudes, from strategic/high-level projects to detailed Cost Of Goods Sold analysis.

     

    Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
