Ferguson is currently hiring for an **Industrial Commodity Manager** to lead business operations in the Midwest Region. The Industrial Commodity Manager acts as a strategic leader and expert in the Industrial/PVF product category, driving sourcing strategies, supplier relationships, and cost optimization to support Ferguson's business objectives.
Role Overview
The Industrial Commodity Manager is focused on strategic vendor profitability from a market standpoint. Priority activities include standardized commodities pricing as well as vendor pricing support with large jobs to drive profitability in market.
Position Details
+ Reports to the Regional Sales Operations Manager
+ Ideal candidate would be based in the Cincinnati Market
Responsibilities
+ Drive adoption and execution of PVF products in conjunction with market specific vendors in Region.
+ Lead and maintain standardized commodities' pricing ensuring market competitiveness and alignment to strategic objectives (market dependent based on Region).
+ Secure vendor job pricing support for large / strategic jobs in order to maximize profitability while meeting customer needs.
+ Collaborate with Sales to align core products strategy with sales execution in the field.
+ Support quoting efforts for strategic vendors, acting as a liaison between sales and supplier partners.
+ Support the Pro Solutions implementation and rollout of tools and processes tied to its success.
Qualifications
+ Knowledge in sustainability. Awareness of sustainable sourcing practices and regulations, particularly as they relate to PVF products.
+ Bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred and /or equivalent experience will be considered.
+ 3+ years of sourcing, material and commodity management or equivalent industry experience.
+ Ability to develop and grow relationships with external suppliers, internal peers, and other functional teams.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (MS 0365, Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Power BI)
+ Experience with various industry standards, approvals, and certification processes
+ Identify opportunities to reduce product costs and improve the overall landing cost of PVF products.

+ Work closely with various teams within Ferguson, including Category Management, Product Development, Quality, Supply Chain, and Marketing.
