About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Tech Lead with 10+ years of experience to join our team in a hybrid work model. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Python, Databricks SQL, and Databricks Workflows. Experience in Life and Annuities Insurance is a plus. This role involves designing and implementing robust solutions that align with business goals, ensuring high performance and scalability.

In this role you will:

• Lead the design and development of scalable architecture solutions using Python and Databricks technologies.

• Oversee the integration of Databricks SQL and Workflows to optimize data processing and analytics.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members to foster a collaborative environment.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. –

• Ensure the architecture aligns with industry best practices and company standards for performance and security.

Work Model

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Hartford, CT. Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work-life balance though our various wellbeing programs.

What you need to have to be considered:

• 10+ years of experience in IT related role

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent

• Strong experience using Python and Databricks

• Experience designing and implementing robust solutions that align with business goals

• Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate, Python Institute PCEP Certification

Salary and Other Compensation:

Application will be accepted until October 30, 2025

The annual salary for this position is between $81,000- $130,000 USD depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
