    Job Description

    Oversees and facilitates Specialty Nurse Fellowship Program following established standards and expectations. Focus on continuing professional development and education for nurses new to specialty area. Various responsibilities focus on developing educational programs and processes to promote professional development for nurses through the organization.

     

    + Develops and revises curriculum for Specialty Nurse Fellowship Program. Focused on specialty scope and standards of practice.

    + Implements and facilitates the Specialty Nurse Fellowship Program – ensures speakers are planned and present; space is planned and reserved; learners are informed of dates and locations; etc.

    + Evaluate the outcomes of the Specialty Nurse Fellowship Program using data collection methods such as surveying.

    + Routinely shares outcome data with key stakeholders and advisory committee.

    + Revise the Specialty Nurse Fellowship Program based on feedback from stakeholders and literature.

    + Serves as a strong role model in professional practice as evidenced by robust relationships with staff and members of other departments, effective communications, appropriate resource utilization and sound planning skills.

    + Guides nurse fellows’ professional development through mentoring, coaching and education.

    Position Details

    + Hours: Days

    + Candidate will facilitate ED fellowship program to align with ENA scope and standards of practice

    + Work collaboratively with nursing professional development practitioners, and nurse residency coordinator as nurses transition into the specialty area.

    + Candidate will facilitate a Critical Care fellowship program to align with the AACN Scope and Standards of Practice.

    + Candidate will also look at other fellowship programs within the northeast to support our trauma and critical care specialties

    + Travel required as needed

    + Minimum of 3 years of Nursing experience

    + Bachelor's Degree - Nursing required

    Education

    Bachelor's Degree-Nursing (Required), Master's Degree-Nursing (Preferred)

    Experience

    Minimum of 3 years-Nursing (Required)

     

    Certification(s) and License(s)

     

    Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) - RN_State of Pennsylvania; Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body
