Linux System Administrator Functional Lead
- KIHOMAC (Colorado Springs, CO)

+ Design, implement, troubleshoot, and sustain Linux based physical and virtual machines for the Missile Defense Space Center
+ Administer container platforms such as OpenShift, Docker, and Podman as-well-as maintain multiple repositories/registries
+ Oversee and perform the hardening of operating systems and STIG compliance
+ Collaborate with cybersecurity, DevSecOps, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure system administration and compliance practices are maintained
+ Manage/delegate tasking derived from project, sustainment, and break/fix sources
+ Manage/mentor a team responsible for ensuring system software installations, maintenance, break/fix activities, and cyber security mitigations are performed in accordance with established policies, procedures, and service level agreements
+ Develop and maintain system administration procedures and baseline configuration documentation
+ Focus on creating, upgrading, managing, and sustaining physical and virtual workstations
+ .Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education/Training:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in an IT or STEM related field
+ Must have, or obtain within 60 days of hire, a computing environment Linux certification
+ Must have, or obtain within 60 days of hire, a current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g. Security+)
Experience:
+ 5+ years of directly related experience in UNIX and/or Linux systems administration
+ Experience administering a Red Hat Linux environment
Security:
+ Must be a US citizen
+ Candidate must be in possession of a minimum DoD issued Secret Clearance
Physical Requirements:
+ Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms
+ Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk
+ Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)
+ Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time

Salary: $130,000 - 170,000
