Penn Power Systems is seeking a qualified power generation field service technician who is capable of working independently or in teams on power generation equipment in the 300kw to 4.0 Mw range. Requirements include having a blend of mechanical and electrical capabilities.

Compensation: Hourly range up to $40/hour - This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.

Requirements

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities, include the following, other duties may be assigned.

+ Scheduled maintenance and repairs of back-up power generation equipment

+ Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting of controls, switchgear and accessories such as batteries, battery chargers, heaters, motor and pumps. Electrical troubleshooting and problem solving requires strong AC/DC power skills

+ Troubleshoot and repair electrical contactors, motors, relays, contact, generator components and controls.

+ Good oral, written, and inter-personal skills

+ Capable of learning, working independently, exhibiting common sense and good judgment, and fostering a safe working environment.
