Job Purpose

This position is responsible for performing basic unloading functions and monitor sugar inventory ensuring all quality and safety standards are met.

Essential Functions

+ Unload trucks and railcars according to bulk unloading procedures

+ Conduct periodic inspections.

+ Operate vacuum unloading system.

+ Perform preventative maintenance on sugar unloading procedures.

+ Monitor sugar delivery and unloading.

+ Assist in equipment repairs and inspection.

+ Keep quiet room clean and organize.

+ Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

+ Maintain accurate record of sugar inventory.

+ Inspect incoming railcars for cleanliness, safety, and compliance with industry standards.

+ Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts to facilitate the unloading process.

+ Comply with all food safety requirements, training, policies, and procedures

Qualifications (Education/Experience)

+ While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

+ The employee frequently is required to stand for a prolonged time, walk, and sit.

+ The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.

+ reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

+ The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

+ Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

+ Ability to read, speak and write English so as to assimilate, retain, and apply training and knowledge of job functions and recognize and communicate problems and recommended solutions.

+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
