Job Description

Insight Global is looking to add a DevOps/GIS Specialist to our client's team in the St. Louis, MO area. Currently, this team is working on moving 2 clusters off prem to AWS. This individual is expected to build the clusters then migrate them to the cloud, using strong expertise with ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise (Server, Portal, Data Store, Web Adaptor) in both on-premises and cloud environments. This person is expected to lead the migration of on-premises ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise environments to AWS, including assessment, planning, execution, and optimization. They will design and deploy secure, scalable ArcGIS Enterprise solutions on AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, EFS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.).With the team, this person will modernize existing infrastructure by leveraging cloud-native architectures, automation, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation). It is expected to collaborate with GIS teams to ensure smooth transition of services, maps, and data to the cloud. This individual will implement monitoring, performance tuning, and cost-optimization strategies for ArcGIS in AWS. It is expected for this individual to ensure compliance with security, governance, and disaster recovery standards throughout the migration and ongoing operations. Daily, this role will entail troubleshooting and resolving complex cloud and application issues across infrastructure and platform layers. This role is expected for this individual to participate in an on-call rotation to provide support for critical ArcGIS Enterprise and team-supported platform issues.
