    Job Description

    The Engineer II will serve as a process owner within a medical device manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on hands-on execution and continuous improvement. This role involves maintaining and updating process documentation, coordinating iterative enhancements to existing products, and supporting validation and performance testing activities such as leak, articulation, and dimensional assessments. The engineer will work closely with operators and cross-functional teams on the lab and production floor to gather feedback, troubleshoot issues, and drive actionable changes. Success in this role requires a proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to synthesize technical insights into process-level decisions that improve product quality and operational efficiency. We can pay between $35-$44/hr

    Skills and Requirements

     

    -Bachelor's Degree in Mecahnical, Biomedical, Materials, or Industrial Engineering

     

    -1-2 years of experience executing full lifecycle medical device projects, ideally within medical device -catheter or shaft manufacturing exposure.

    -Statistical data analysis- Experience compiling, analyzing, and reporting operational, test, and research data

    • Demonstrated ability to develop materials, processes, or equipment for moderately complex projects

    • Skilled in designing and coordinating engineering tests and experiments

    Strong collaboration skills across R&D, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, and supplier teams • Experience with catheter or shaft manufacturing processes, including:

    • Tube extrusion

    • Coiling

    • Braiding

    • Balloon forming

    • Molding

    • Exposure to welding and laser marking technologies

    • Completion of at least one fully commercialized product lifecycle

    • Interest in growing into a team leadership role

    • Proactive communication style and ability to synthesize feedback from operators and cross-functional teams

    • Ability to invent or iterate on tooling and fixtures

     

    Experience with MiniTab or other statistical software (strong plus)
