    Job Details:

    Reporting to the Regional Director of Nursing Practice, the Lead Clinical Resource Coordinator is an advanced education role involving the management, assessment, planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of clinical and educational activities including orientation, staff development, and competency assessment.

    Responsibilities:

    + Maintains, reviews, and evaluates educational record keeping and reporting systems.

    + Supports nursing education department, serving as a resource for the clinical resource coordinators.

    + Serves as a professional role model, training, precepting, and validating competencies of all clinical resource coordinators.

    + Oversees the projects of department clinical resource coordinators.

    + Evaluates staff competencies and compliance with patient care and unit documentation requirements.

    + Evaluate all newly hired/transferred staff and participate in the decision of their successful completion of their orientation.

    + Collaborates with unit nurse managers in the onboarding process and escalates concerns as appropriate.

    + Leads staff participation in quality and safety initiatives and mandated compliance measures.

    Experience:

    + Minimum 5 years of experience as a registered nurse with at least 2 years in the role of the nurse educator

    Education:

    + Master’s Degree in Nursing

    Licenses/Certifications:

    + Active, unencumbered NY nursing license. BLS, ACLS, PALS instructor certification preferred. Certification in nurse specialty or NPD-BC, preferred.

    Other:

    + Must be able to work effectively with a variety of departments and leadership
