The Office of Admissions has an outstanding opportunity for multiple International Admissions Application Readers to join their team.
Holistic Review is central to the Office of Admission's mission to enroll a strong and diverse class. The holistic review views each applicant as a whole person, assessing the individual applicant's context, academic performance, and personal qualities and achievements. The International Admissions Application Readers will help with the holistic review of international freshman applications. Readers will assess international freshman applications, using a combination of personal and academic factors. To ensure that the policies and procedures are applied fairly and equitably, International Admissions Application Readers require extensive training and coaching throughout the application cycle. Applications are assessed by readers independently, and the final admission decisions are made by Admissions administrators, based on reader assessments.
The International Admissions Application Readers must develop a deep understanding of the philosophy, policies, and procedures of the University of Washington's undergraduate application holistic review. The holistic review of applications is a complex process that requires readers to consider the individual context of each applicant, to assess many academic and personal factors and data elements, and then apply that information to an overall holistic admission recommendation.
