    Facilities Maintenance Mechanic (PHVAC)

     

    Pay: $28.00 – $33.00 per hour (DOE) Temp to perm

     

    Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Occasional overtime for maintenance or emergency calls

    Position Overview

    We are seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Mechanic (PHVAC) to support daily operations at our Princeton facility. This position involves maintaining, repairing, and installing a wide variety of plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and environmental systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient building operations.

     

    The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and teamwork.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Maintain and repair major environmental equipment including boilers, chillers, air handlers, pumps, fans, and HVAC systems.

    + Perform preventive and scheduled maintenance on plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and mechanical systems.

    + Install, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures, water supply lines, sanitary waste piping, and lift systems.

    + Work with electronic and pneumatic environmental controls and Energy Management System (EMS) hardware.

    + Inspect, repair, and maintain fire control systems including sprinklers, hydrants, and extinguishers.

    + Maintain and repair food service, water treatment, and sewage treatment equipment as needed.

    + Perform welding, cutting, and fabrication tasks to support maintenance projects.

    + Respond to routine and emergency maintenance calls and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.

    + Follow OSHA, DOT, and company safety standards; participate in safety meetings and ensure PPE compliance.

    + Document maintenance activities and keep accurate records in the work order management system.

    Qualifications

    + High School Diploma or GED required; trade school or technical training preferred.

    + 4+ years of experience maintaining HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical systems in a facilities or industrial setting.

    + Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and control systems.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.

    + Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and testing instruments.

    + Comfortable working in confined spaces, heights, and varying environmental conditions.

    + Valid Driver’s License required.

    + EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification required.

    + OSHA safety training preferred.

    Physical Requirements

    + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical work including climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods.

    + Ability to work in hot, cold, or noisy environments safely.

    **Pay Details:** $28.00 to $33.00 per hour
