This position encompasses the audit of all engines during various stages of the build process. The main responsibilities include auditing engines for compliance to the appropriate documentation; accurately recording all engine non-conformances in the AQE system and communicating found engine non-conformances to the appropriate person for repair. This person will work closely with all assembly personnel, support groups, and assembly management to meet product quality goals and objectives and will at times assist in quality functions outside of the audit process. This position will rotate throughout various quality gates in the assembly areas and will therefor require that the individual train in multiple areas.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

+ Learning Caterpillar Systems and using them appropriately (MESA, AQE, etc.)

+ Computer Skills – Microsoft Teams, Email

+ Strong customer focus approach, communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work with diverse groups

Basic Qualifications:

+ Torque concept

+ Gauging skills

+ Quality experience

+ Engine knowledge

+ Print reading skills

+ Basic computer skills

Top Candidates will also:

+ Be flexible to work overtime as needed to support production demands.

+ Possess and show strong interpersonal skills and apply customer-based focus.

Physical Requirements:

+ Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs.

+ Must be able to bend and twist at the waist and be able to squat.

+ Stand on concrete for 8+ hours.

Additional Information:

+ Location of the position is in Lafayette, IN.

+ Position available is on 2nd shift: 2:30pm to 10:30pm (Will complete training on 1st or 2nd shift)

+ Relocation assistance is not offered for this position. Any relocation costs incurred would be the responsibility of the selected applicant.

+ 18 days / 144 hours of paid Personal Time Off (PTO) - (Prorated based upon start date)

+ 11 Paid holidays

+ 40-hour work weeks with potential for Overtime

Summary Pay Range:

$22.65 - $29.45
