Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Produce and direct high-quality livestreams for digital platforms, including YouTube, Facebook, X, and owned & operated apps.
+ Collaborate with editorial teams to plan and execute livestreams for breaking news, press conferences, and special programming.
+ Write compelling headlines, descriptions, and visual assets to maximize reach and engagement.
+ Operate livestream production software and manage real-time graphics, lower thirds, and transitions.
+ Coordinate with on-air talent, reporters in the field, and technical staff to ensure smooth execution.
+ Monitor livestream performance and troubleshoot technical issues in real-time.
+ Coordinate productions with the 24/7 channel Noticias Telemundo AHORA teams.
+ Stay informed on current events and trends in digital journalism and livestreaming.
Basic Requirements:
+ 3+ years of experience producing live video content in a newsroom.
+ Bachelor's degree in Journalism
+ Fluent in Spanish and proficient in English (written and spoken).
+ Strong editorial judgment and ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
+ Proficiency with livestreaming tools such as Tricaster, OBS, StreamYard, or similar.
+ Knowledge of video formats and social media best practices.
+ Familiarity with graphic overlays and real-time production tools such as Flowics or similar.
+ Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple streams simultaneously.
+ Experience working with news talent and coordinating live hits from the field is a plus.
Additional Requirements:
+ Background in journalism or broadcasting.
+ Experience producing news content for Hispanic or bilingual audiences.
+ Comfortable with basic video editing (Premiere, Final Cut, or similar).
+ Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and livestream analytics.
