    Maintenance Technician

     

    FTE: 1.0 (Full Time Benefits, 40 hours per week)

     

    Shifts: Monday-Friday 7:00a-3:30p; on call every 5th week/weekend and some holidays

    Responsibilities

    + Perform non-technical corrective and preventive maintenance, such as but not limited to: changing fluorescent lamps and light bulbs, unplugging water closets, replacing filters, exit light inspection, replacing ceiling tile

    + Assist Maintenance Technicians and Carpenters as needed.

    + Groundskeeping work including snow removal and vacation replacement hours

    + Participate in training to begin understanding the principles of operation, and developing a good working knowledge of all the environmental systems such as plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems and associated equipment.

    Qualifications

    Education: High school graduate, graduate of technical program desirable

     

    Licensure: Valid Iowa Driver’s License.

     

    Experience: One year similar experience preferred

     

    Skills/Abilities: Mechanical, electrical experience preferred
