    Introduction

     

    The Global Strategic Initiatives team is seeking an Associate to support strategic growth initiatives across IBM’s global markets. This position is ideally suited for individuals with a background in consulting and/or executive-level content development, who possess a demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information into a clear deliverable. The Associate will play a pivotal role in supporting Business Development Executives ("BDEs") through the development of strategic narratives, market insights, and high-impact presentations. Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required, as the role entails frequent creation of executive-facing materials that inform and influence strategic decision-making.

    Your role and responsibilities

    * Collaborate with BDEs to identify, validate, and structure strategic initiatives across emerging markets and technologies

    * Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive analysis to support strategic planning and partner engagement

    * Develop executive-level content, including white papers, client proposals, and presentations that convey IBM’s strategic priorities and value proposition

    * Contribute to the formulation and communication of business cases to support investment decisions and deal rationale

    * Engage cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between technical solutions and strategic objectives

    * Prepare briefing materials and strategic insights for senior stakeholders and leadership forums

    * Support the execution, monitoring, and reporting of strategic initiatives across geographies and business units

    Required technical and professional expertise

    * Experience in consulting, business development, or strategic content creation within a technology or professional services environment

    * Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with a portfolio of executive-level presentations strongly preferred

    * Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for executive audiences

    * Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in fast-paced, dynamic settings

    Preferred technical and professional experience

    * Exposure to M&A, strategic partnerships, or enterprise sales

    * Familiarity with emerging technologies such as hybrid cloud, artificial intelligence, automation, sustainability, and enterprise integration frameworks

    * Experience working in a multinational technology or consulting organization
