DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented (Hybrid) SAP Service OPS Principal to join our team specializing for our BUSINESS Transformation Unit, in Indianapolis, IN.
Job Summary:
Assess and apply new solution designs against defined architecture strategies, principles, policies and standards in alignment with the enterprise architecture strategies. Defines new architecture solutions where needs are identified. Where current enterprise strategies and principles do not meet needs, drive changes back to the enterprise. Defines complex application and solution designs for specific systems in coordination with project teams.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
+ **SAP S/4HANA Expertise** : You must bring deep hands-on experience and certification in the SAP S/4HANA Service module, ideally with Advanced Service Execution. Additional experience in SAP PS (Project Systems) and other modules will set you apart.
+ **Integration Skills Across Platforms** : Success will require working knowledge of **non-SAP system integrations** , especially using **Mulesoft** , **OData** , **APIs** , or other middleware tools to ensure seamless data flow and system interoperability.
+ **Industry Experience** : Proven Solution Architect experience in **Automotive, Manufacturing, Retail, or Distribution** industries is essential, particularly with a focus on **global service processes and compliance** .
+ **Stakeholder Management & Influence** : You’ll need to anticipate and balance the needs of diverse stakeholders—technical teams, business leaders, and external partners—while using persuasive communication to gain alignment and commitment.
+ **Collaborative Leadership** : Building strong partnerships across cross-functional teams will be key to co-creating solutions that meet shared objectives and drive business value.
+ **Strategic Communication** : You must be able to tailor your messaging to different audiences, ensuring clarity and engagement whether you're presenting to executives or guiding technical teams.
+ **Decision-Making Agility** : Making timely, high-quality decisions will be critical, especially when navigating complex solution trade-offs or managing risks in fast-paced environments.
+ **Change Management Expertise** : Applying structured change management practices will help you lead teams through transformation, ensuring adoption and sustainability of new systems and processes.
+ **Architectural Design & Governance** : You’ll need to define architecture deliverables and apply frameworks like **CTRM** and **CLEAN standards** , ensuring solutions meet business, technical, and compliance requirements.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
College, university, or equivalent degree in relevant technical discipline, or relevant equivalent experience required. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Significant experience in a relevant discipline area is required with a demonstrated track record of architecture and design for cloud-based platforms. Knowledge of the latest trends in emerging technologies is highly preferred and includes:
- Analyzing complex business systems, industry requirements, and governance and creating solution designs from them
- Proven Architecture and design experience for cloud-based platforms
Significant experiences in the following are preferred:
- Experience with architecting and integrating enterprise systems and data
-Experience in defining and weighing the trade-offs of different solution options
- Experience with IoT technology
- Experience in Agile software development and DevSecOps
QUALIFICATIONS
**Required Qualifications:** 10-12 years of extensive and proven hands-on configuration and implementation experience in S/4 HANA 2023 or up to 2 prior versions.
+ SAP experience and certification required in SAP S/4 HANA SERVICE module preferably with Advance Service Execution. Additional modules will be preferred and a game changer for candidates with SAP PS (Projects System) module experience.
+ Working experience with non-SAP systems integrations using Mulesoft or other middleware, OData, APIs).
+ Solution Architect experience in industries such as Automotive, Manufacturing, Retail, or Distribution.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Designing, implementing, and optimizing Service and Warranty solutions across multiple countries, ensuring the successful delivery of complex, large-scale SAP projects across multiple geographies, with knowledge of localizations.
+ Leads the design and implementation by providing best practice guidance for S/4 SERVICE Advance Execution implementations and optimizations with S/4 HANA 2023. Knowledge of SAP Field Services Management (FSM) is desirable.
+ Deliver process architecture expertise and ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules (e.g., FICO, MM, SD) and non-SAP peripheral systems, such as SIEBEL Warranty or Salesforce.
+ Must have demonstrated hands-on configuration experience in designing solutions, creating proof-of-concepts showcasing potential solution options.
+ Highly desirable to have cross module experience and debugging knowledge of workbench objects, to trouble shoot and resolve complex issues or provide direction when customization is needed or justified.
+ Collaborate with business stakeholders and SI Partner to translate requirements into scalable, efficient SAP solutions by providing best practice guidance for SAP Service capability implementations and optimizations.
+ Validation of solutions proposed by SI Partner to follow the principle of ‘Adopt vs Adapt’ leveraging SAP out-of-box capabilities, follow Design standards and avoidance or minimization of customizations and bespoke configurations.
+ Drive the full project lifecycle: from blueprinting and design to configuration, testing, and go-live and post provide overarching subject matter expertise to AMS team.
+ Act as a subject matter expert for SAP Service with Advance Execution, leading cross-functional teams collaborating internally with Design teams and leaders, along with mentoring business process leaders and business resources new to SAP.
+ Ensure proper integration with other key modules and edge applications such as Oracle Finance, Basware, High Radius, Blue Yonder, Kinaxis, within the Cummins ecosystem.
+ Support the global rollout of SAP solutions across multiple countries, ensuring adherence to local legal, fiscal, and business requirements.
**Location:** This position is remote and can be based in Indianapolis or Atlanta, with preference to candidates in Eastern or Central time zones. Relocation is not offered for this role.
