    The Department of Biology at Emory University invites applications for an Assistant Teaching Professor position

     

    Faculty appointments will be made at the Assistant Teaching Professor level. Established over 25 years ago, the teaching track in Emory College is one of the strongest and longest-running in the country.

     

    This position will involve working with second-semester introductory biology labs in training a team of lab instructors and collaborating with the first-semester lab coordinator as well as the support of two full-time staff for material preparation.  In addition to teaching, commonly four courses per year, successful applicants will be expected to contribute to the academic life and governance of the Biology Department, College of Arts and Sciences, and the University.

     

    The appointee will join a cohesive group of tenure-track (25) and teaching-track (14) faculty working collaboratively in the teaching, research, and service missions of Emory University. Department of Biology faculty are committed to creating a respectful community of educators and scholars and seek colleagues who are eager to nurture and support growth of students, staff, and faculty.
