Perioperative Internship Program:

+ This internship begins on March 2, 2026. New hire and clinical orientation completion are required prior to program start.

+ 6-week Didactic portion Monday – Friday 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM schedule at Morton Plant Hospital or Winter Haven Hospital (based on location of hiring campus) completing classroom work, didactic training and some clinical training (Subject to Change)

+ 20 weeks of Clinical rotations through BayCare Hospitals, hiring location will determine length of rotations

+ Call during program (Buddy Call) and after completion

+ Team members will be assigned to Variable shifts for the duration of the internship. Upon internship completion, the shift that you'll be assigned will vary based on the needs of the unit you're hired for

+ There is an hours-based commitment required to the unit of hire for this internship

Program Requirements:

+ Florida RN license

+ Current BLS

+ Current ACLS, if required by department

+ Attendance of a Perioperative Informational session

+ Interview completion

+ Completion of a shadow shift (Shadowing a circulating nurse for one full shift)
