    The Global Advertising and Brand Management (GABM) team is responsible for creating marketplace demand and driving commerce for American Express products and services through differentiated and innovative branding, marketing, and experiences. We have an ambitious goal: to be the most admired brand in the Fortune 500 and we aim to deliver on that by doing work that is both creative and effective. The Global Marketer Enablement team sits within GABM and has the mission to empower colleagues across the enterprise to champion, protect, and elevate the Amex brand.

     

    The Director will lead the Global Marketer Learning & Development team, the brains behind Amex Marketing U. The team provides resources and programming to support marketer career development and inspire marketing innovation across a global base of thousands of Amex marketers.

     

    This role is great for a thought leader with a passion for marketing, fostering colleague engagement, and creating exceptional experiences.

    Core Responsibilities:

    + Evolve the strategy of the Amex Marketing U learning and development program to increase program impact and colleague participation

    + Produce live learning events, including identifying inspirational stories/topics, securing external and internal speakers, logistics management, and more.

    + Develop workshops, trainings, and other resources focused on developing marketing skills and expertise

    + Evolve and execute the content of the Marketer’s Feed E-Newsletter, a communication that reaches our full marketer base on a bimonthly basis

    + Liaise with partners across the enterprise to understand and address marketer learning needs and opportunities

    + Keep a pulse on external marketing and learning trends

    + Lead and inspire a high performing team

    Qualifications:

    + 8 years professional experience with expertise in at least two of the following disciplines: managing learning programs, strategic communications, event management, marketing.

    + Strategic thought leader who brings creativity and a passion for challenging the status quo.

    + Proven ability to coach a team, drive results through others, and inspire an engaging, collaborative team culture.

    + Strong project management skills, with high degree of organization, ability to move multiple priorities along at the same time, and nimbly pivot when needed.

    + Exceptional executive presence and oral communication skills, with a talent for speaking in front of large audiences and ability to articulately engage C-suite leaders.

    + Exceptional written communications skills, that can flex across mediums such as broadscale eNewsletters, event marketing, learning workshop materials, program strategy decks, and more.

    + Strong relationship management skills with proven ability to engage and influence across band levels

    + Resilient mentality, calm under pressure, and ability to creatively solve problems.

    Qualifications

    Salary Range: $123,000.00 to $215,250.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefits
