    The Books Training Launch Content team (TLC) is seeking a Sr. Content Strategist who shows strong ownership and enjoys developing content strategies and resources (SOP and customer-facing blurbs) for complex processes, that improves both the internal reviewer and external customer experience. The role will be part of a global organization that will work cross functionality with operations, program managers, product, and other support teams. The ideal candidate sees around corners, is biased for action in ensuring the project/program is set up for success in achieving our goals, has experience making the right tradeoffs, and earns trust through broad stakeholder influence.

     

    In this role you will plan, create, maintain, and deliver high quality documentation for complex and high-risk medium to large sized launches and changes. The focus is on creating easily digestible and efficient processes that prevent risk. As a Sr. Content Strategist in our team, you will work with stakeholders to gather requirements for your content plans, use sound business judgment to make quick decisions in ambiguous situations, and effectively prioritize competing projects. To be successful, you will evaluate the effectiveness of your content using metrics, and verbatim feedback and share timely updates with project stakeholders. You will possess excellent writing skills and experience in developing support content.

    Key job responsibilities

    Working independently on multiple content projects, the Sr. Content Strategist will:

     

    * Define reviewer use cases and processes for new or changing products, tools, policies or business launches

    * Drive content projects for their entire lifecycle from planning through post-launch measurement

    * Use a combination of data analysis, contact analysis, and content audits to make content and process decisions and deliver high quality content

    * Develop and execute strategies to improve content accuracy, quality, maintainability, and usability

    * Define, manage, and communicate content effectiveness metrics

    * Evangelize internal content writing standards that reflect the voice of Books

    * Train new content developers/strategists in how to write internal and customer-facing content

    * Build effective relationships with multiple internal and external, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver complex, global projects

    * Communication both verbally and written across all levels in the organization (technical, business, executive).

    * Assist the Sr. Program Manager with program related responsibilities and improvement projects.

    Basic Qualifications

    - 5+ years of program or project management experience

     

    - Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

     

    - Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

    Preferred Qualifications

    - 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

     

    - Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

     

    - Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

     

    - Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization

     

    - Experience dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering measurable results in an agile environment

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
