Description
Amazon is looking for individuals who can think strategically as well as roll up their sleeves and dive deep into practical application. This role requires the ability to establish HR priorities and operating mechanisms to drive change. The candidate must be able to interface with leaders at all levels through excellent communication skills, data-driven analytical thinking, and ability to perform in a fast-paced, rigorous, and ambiguous environment.
This role is both hands-on and strategic, providing human resource leadership in the development and implementation of HR strategies that foster growth, innovation, and organizational effectiveness. The Sr. HRBP must first understand business priorities and translate them into an HR plan that supports the business. They assess capability and needs in leadership & management development, career development, performance management, employee relations, compensation, and talent acquisition, driving appropriate solutions in these areas. The Sr. HRBP partners with Directors to develop and implement strategies that support business agendas, including performance management, organizational effectiveness, talent development, and organization design. Whether coaching clients on leading their teams, navigating employee relations issues, or developing innovative solutions, the Sr. HRBP serves as the champion of Amazon's culture and values, helping leaders build customer-obsessed teams.

Key job responsibilities
- Partner with senior management to champion organizational and people focused initiatives in order to achieve strategic business initiatives and deliver results
- Partner with business on organizational design, talent management, succession planning, and organizational health
- Review and analyze business unit data to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve performance, retention, and employee experience
- Provide management coaching to build leadership capabilities to address and resolve employee issues
- Plan, manage and provide continuous improvement to all aspects of HR processes including creating mechanisms and owning projects to address organizational opportunities
- Provide ongoing support to the leadership team on human resources related matters, policies and procedures
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above
- 8+ years of HR experience
- - Demonstrated record of success in improving organizational performance and navigating leaders through organizational changes in a fast paced environment
- - Proven ability to relate to, influence, and coach employees at all levels in the organization
Preferred Qualifications
- - Specific HRBP experience supporting tech populations
- - Prior executive coaching experience
- - Strong analytical capabilities- the ability to identify the right people metrics and implement solutions to drive positive change
- - Ability to deal well with ambiguous situations, comfort making high judgement calls and recommendations without always having clear-cut guidelines or precedents to follow
- - Strong business acumen
- - Strong communication and writing skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $117,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $193,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
