Accounts Payable Clerk
**Location:** Edison, NJ
**Schedule:** Monday – Friday
**Pay Rate:** $22–$24 per hour
**Job Type:** Full-Time | Contract/Temporary-to-Hire

**Adecco** is currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented **Accounts Payable Clerk** for a valued client in the **Edison, NJ** area. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounts payable operations across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with financial procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Perform full-cycle accounts payable tasks including data entry, verification, classification, and recording of vendor invoices.
+ Ensure all invoices are properly documented, coded, and approved by the appropriate department managers.
+ Research and resolve discrepancies involving invoices, purchase orders, and payment approvals.
+ Process payments in accordance with company policies and timelines.
+ Maintain and update accurate vendor files and records.
+ Assist in month-end closing activities, including journal entries and accruals.
+ Support sales tax compliance and reporting as needed.
+ Participate in ongoing process improvement initiatives and maintain department SOPs.
+ Collaborate with internal teams and provide financial support across departments.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred) — or equivalent work experience.
+ 3–5 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a similar accounting role.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs) and Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
+ Strong understanding of accounting principles (e.g., debits/credits, general ledger).
+ Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial data.
+ Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
+ High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

**Pay Details:** $22.00 to $24.00 per hour
