    POSITION SUMMARY

    This position assists as needed in the lab.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    + Perform Chemical and physical analysis for samples (product, ingredients, environmental, sanitation chemical) as soon as sample arrived; calculated and determine amount of ingredients needed to adjust semi-finished good sample reading back to specified range.

    + Discuss results and findings with those in charge of the products, and recommend any required corrective actions as needed.

    + Conduct microbiological analysis for samples provided.

    + Verify data measured against specification and determine acceptability.

    + Enter data into system. Conduct trend analysis. Report any trend to supervisor in timely manner.

    + Maintain and calibrate lab equipment.

    + Maintain working area clean (clean up area, equipment, tools, etc. after analysis is ended. Sample disposal).

    + Work as team with other lab technician and assist each other to provide data in timely manner.

    + Cover with other lab technician in their absence.

    + Help maintaining inventory of lab supplies.

    + Assist QA/QC management improve the microbiological, chemical and physical quality of LKK products.

    + Assist QA/QC management to conduct special projects regarding microbiological, chemical and physical issues.

    + Maintain & follow Good Laboratory Practice at all times.

    + Perform all other special assignments as requested.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    QUALIFICATIONS

    A. REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS and EXPERIENCE

    + A college degree is preferred for this position.

    + Experience in a food company lab is useful; and experience in administrative support to a technical department or organization is preferred.

    + Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

    + Ability to read and comprehend equipment manuals and electrical diagrams for set-up control loops.

    + Must be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

    B. LANGUAGE SKILLS

    + Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

    + Ability to write reports and correspondence and prepare and deliver clear and smooth presentation.

    + Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or and employees of organization.

    + Convey information clearly and effectively through both formal and informal documents.

    C. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    + Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

    + Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and draw and interpret bar graphs.

    D. PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    + The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

    + While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; cleaning chemicals or acids, toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shocks; explosives; risk of radiation; and vibration.

    **Pay Details:** $24.00 per hour
