Job Title: Electronics Technician Contract
Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Electronics Technician to support PCB repair and diagnostics. Initially, the focus will be on production board repair to meet temporary staffing needs. This role requires hands-on troubleshooting, component-level repair, and collaboration with engineering teams to enhance testing and repair processes.
Responsibilities
+ Diagnose and repair printed circuit boards (PCBs) to the component level.
+ Perform production-level board repairs, including repetitive tasks on identical boards.
+ Use advanced soldering techniques, including Surface Mount Technology (SMT), to remove and replace components.
+ Troubleshoot power supplies, controllers, and electromechanical systems.
+ Apply appropriate bench test equipment for accurate diagnostics.
+ Reverse engineer PCBs and assist in developing or modifying test equipment and schematics.
+ Create and update repair procedures and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
+ Identify replacement options for obsolete components.
+ Support simpler tasks as needed to assist the broader team.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in PCB repair and troubleshooting.
+ Advanced soldering skills, especially SMT soldering.
+ Experience in troubleshooting power supplies and controllers.
+ Ability to reverse engineer and modify PCBs and schematics.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Significant military experience in electronics board repair is a plus.
+ Experience in a high-volume production environment is beneficial.
+ Capability to build and debug PCBs is a strong indicator of repair capability.
Work Environment
The position is located onsite in Vancouver, WA, near a mall. The work room is shared with other team members and engineers, and there is a clean room on site for testing.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Vancouver, Washington.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
