    Job Title: Electrical Controls Engineer | Onsite | Georgetown, KY | 30% Travel Annually

    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer to develop and maintain electrical standards for our facilities. You will play a key role in communicating these standards to contractors and personnel involved in electrical installation and repair. Your expertise will contribute to the review and approval of drawings for new equipment and facilities, as well as the updating and archiving of electrical prints and programs essential for project documentation.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop and maintain electrical standards for facilities.

    + Communicate standards to contractors and personnel working on electrical installation and repair.

    + Review and approve drawings for new equipment and facilities.

    + Update and archive electrical prints, PLC programs, and operator interface software.

    + Undertake electrical and mechanical preventative maintenance, inspection testing, commissioning, and basic repairs to plant and equipment.

    + Modify existing controls to improve process control, reliability, safety, and compliance with OSHA requirements.

    + Assist Maintenance and Operations members in designing and developing electrical preventative maintenance programs and procedures.

    + Troubleshoot electrical problems and assist in developing electrical preventative maintenance programs and procedures.

    + Assist in developing and performing nondestructive testing.

    Essential Skills

    + Expertise in controls engineering and troubleshooting.

    + Proficiency in Allen-Bradley and Mitsubishi PLC programming.

    + Experience in a manufacturing environment.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and technical manuals.

    + Experience supporting maintenance teams.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or an Associate's degree with relevant experience.

    + Prior experience in a Controls Engineering role within manufacturing.

    Work Environment

    This position operates on a Monday through Friday schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM, with approximately 30% travel required both domestically and internationally. Domestic travel involves visits to plants in Indiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Texas for downtime investigations and new equipment installations, lasting 3-5 days. International travel includes trips to Italy and Japan for training and new installations, typically lasting 9-10 days.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Georgetown, Kentucky.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $105000.00/yr.
